Wynona Mulcaster

Wynona Mulcaster was born in 1915 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon in 1942 and la Master of Fine Arts at Institute Allende, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico in 1976. In the mid 1940's, she studied at the Banff School of Fine Arts. She also studied with Ernest Lindner. 

From 1966-1971 she taught painting at the University of Saskatchewan. Her personal works often consist of landscapes. 
 
She played an integral role in the history of art and art education in Saskatchewan, she assisted with the development and success of the Saskatchewan art scene from the 1930's onward. 
 
During the late 1930's, she was involved in establishing what was to become the Emma Lake Artists Workshop in Northern Saskatchewan. 
 
Mulcaster has lived in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico for over twenty years.  

Her work has been exhibited widely across Canada and can be found in many private and public collections.
