Marion Wagschal was born in Port-au-Spain, Trinidad in 1943. She immigrated to Montréal, Québec in 1951. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University, Montréal, Québec in 1975.
Her work has always been concerend with the figure, her early works often incorporated biblical themes.
Wagschal has exhibited across Canada. Her work is part of the collections at The Beaverbrook Art Gallery, Fredericton, New Brunswick, The Council Art Bank, Ottawa, Ontario, Confederation Art Gallery, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Leonard and Bina Ellen Art Gallery, Concordia University, and Montréal, Québec Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal, among others.
Currently Wagschal is a teacher of painting and drawing at Concordia University in Montréal, Québec. She is a member of The Royal Canadian Academy.
