Marc-Antoine Nadeau was born in Montréal in 1943. Nadeau studied painting and etching at l'École des Beaux Arts in Montréal and continued his studies at l'Atelier Libre in graphic research in the 1960's. While studying at Atelier Nadeau developped skills in silkscreening and eau-forte techniques.
Nadeau is known as a painter, a sculptor, a watercolorist. He had a passion for naval history.
Nadeau is also a member of the Royal Canadian academy of Arts since 1999 and his work is part of numerous important public collections.
